The Academy was been set up to offer courses, workshops and taster sessions of exceptional quality in many holistic therapies. As the Principal, I thought it may be helpful to offer an explanation of the different types of qualifications offered, as many people often ask when they call us.

Accredited weekday and weekend Courses

Our accredited weekday and weekend courses (which means relevant courses for becoming qualified to practice as a therapist and gain the relevant insurance) are done through an accelerated programme of study. This means you study in blocks period of time such as 5, 8 or 9 days rather than the usual drip feed of a few hours a week over 20 or 30 weeks. All this adds up to you being able to attain your qualification in a much shorted time e.g. 3 to 6 months and you also do not waste time having to re-cap every lesson which often happens if you only do a few hours a week, so with us you are getting good value for money.

CPD Workshops

We have decided with all our CPD (Continuing Professional Development) workshops and master classes to gain recognition from the main professional associations such as the Professional Guild of Beauty & Holistic Therapists and FHT, for insurance purposes rather than accreditation route.

The main reason for having our workshops recognised rather than accredited means they are less expensive, shorter in length, with no exams or case studies to complete before achievement.

CPD workshops allow you to gain additional therapies and skills and of course those valuable CPD points, which, if you belong to a professional association, you will need to gain each year to uphold your membership.

In order to attend our CPD courses, you will have to be a practicing and qualified therapist so you will already have insurance and you will therefore be able to just add on the new therapies rather than having to pay extra.
